The Common Wolf Snake is nonvenomous but aggressive if handled. Average size reaching up to 75cm with reddish brown coloration and yellowish white mottling over the length of the body. A flat narrow head just slightly wider than the neck at the jaw with proportioned round eyes and pupils.

Common Rat Snakes are found all over Hong Kong including Hong Kong Island. They eat rodents, lizards and occasionally birds and as such can be found from forested areas to areas around lakes and rivers as well as water culverts and jogging trails.

Found all over Hong Kong the Greater Green is one of the most common snakes to encounter in Hong Kong. Due to their diet of worms they can be found almost anywhere there is water, vegetation, soft ground and or leaf litter/rotting logs.
