Djoser (also read as Djeser and Zoser) was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the 3rd Dynasty during the Old Kingdom, and was the founder of that epoch. He is also known by his Hellenized names Tosorthros (from Manetho) and Sesorthos (from Eusebius).

Djoser, was the first king of the 3rd dynasty (c. 2592–c. 2566 bce) of ancient Egypt, who undertook the construction of the earliest important stone building in Egypt. His reign was marked by great technological innovation in the use of stone architecture.
