Jul 19, 2024 · BERNALILLO, N.M. (KRQE) – Former Bernalillo Police Department Officer Jeramie Nevarez has pled guilty in a domestic misdemeanor battery case against him. Nevarez was arrested by the Rio Rancho Police Department in November after his girlfriend at the time told officers that Nevarez wouldn't let her leave and got physical.

Dec 1, 2023 · Officer Jeramie Nevarez was arrested and booked by Rio Rancho police on November 15th and held for two days until he was released. Court records show that Nevarez is not allowed to possess firearms as a condition of his pending battery case.

Jul 20, 2024 · Nevarez was placed on administrative leave. Two women filed for restraining orders against Nevarez. In December 2023, Nevarez was fired. In July 2024, Nevarez pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year of probation and a variety of classes. Nevarez is prohibited from carrying a firearm. ‎
