The Persians are a Middle Eastern civilization in Age of Empires II based on various Persian states such as the Safavid dynasty, Sasanian Empire, various Sogdian city-states, and the Samanid Empire. They focus on cavalry.

Persians' new unique tech, Boiling Oil, gives Castles an attack bonus vs rams, slightly improving their defense. Persian Docks' and Town Centers' work rate in the Dark Age is improved by 5%, which means that they will have a better early-game economy, which will of course impact the mid- and late-game.

In an ordinary castle agr you should probably stay far away from kamandaran. Stop researching Kamandaran in castle age and you'll have a lot more resources. By the looks of it your rely heavy on Scout rushing to set you up for wins. Mongols are fast, Franks smooth & Magyars is #1 SR.
