Jan 13, 2025 · I've said for a long time that JDM is the worst striking matchup for Leon in the UFC. Leon is great at long range and way on the inside. His mid range boxing is his weakest area and that's where Jack excells. That being said, if Leon comes in motivated and actually fights to the best of his ability, he beats JDM quite comfortably.

Nate choking out Conor was way bigger, none of my non-mma friends asked me about Edwards. That fight propelled Nate Diaz to superstardom relative to mma. For more context, I had non-mma fans ask me about Jones return (after he won), none of my non-mma friends know who Leon Edwards is, tbh they prob don’t know Kamaru either unfortunately.
