I mean, the MachineGames titles were also a big departure from previous Wolfenstein games. The tone was a lot different, there was a much bigger focus on story, the paranormal took a backseat for the most part, levels were far more linear, even compared to RTCW and 2009... games change a lot over time, and that's fine.

Jan 19, 2024 · My long-standing theory is that both idSoftware and MG might be co-developing the next Quake, it would make sense for MachineGames to be doing the singleplayer part since they are better at worldbuilding and storytelling while id is better at designing addictive gameplay.

Dec 11, 2024 · I would maybe buy that a new Riddick game (or a remaster of the previous two) could happen with the new movie being made, but there is a less than zero chance that MachineGames would work on it. Xbox will want them working on either big licensed IPs like Indy or big owned IPs like Quake and Wolfenstein.
