Kohl’s said Thursday it would close 27 stores nationwide, including one in Northeast Portland. The department store chain said it would shut its Gateway location at 10010 N.E. Halsey St. The store is an anchor at the Gateway Shopping Center, where it backs up to the Gateway Fred Meyer.

Macy’s said Thursday that it will close 66 of its least productive stores nationwide, including two anchors at struggling malls in the Baltimore region.

Macy's will close a Dayton-area stores as part of a plan to shutter 66 locations across the country. The Mall at Fairfield Commons location made the list of closures the retailer announced late Thursday.
