BOSTON (AP) — Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said guard Jrue Holiday remains day-to-day with a strained hamstring and gave no indication whether he would be available for Game 1 of the second-round playoff series on Monday against the New York Knicks.

Jrue Holiday’s status remains unclear as Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals approaches. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla would not say Friday whether he expects to have the veteran guard available when the second-round series against the New York Knicks tips off Monday night at TD Garden.
