A major US wholesale retailer has recalled cold and flu medication over possible contamination. Costco customers were advised in a letter on Thursday that the affected product Kirkland Signature brand Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion was sold from October 30 to November 30 of last year.

This recall for “potential foreign material contamination” comes a month after nearly 9,000 boxes were pulled for manufacturing concerns.

NEW YORK — Costco has issued a recall of some of its Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion medication over contamination concerns. LNK International Inc, the New York-based manufacturer behind the medication, issued a recall advisory on Jan. 2 "out of an abundance of caution." The recall comes amid an active cold and flu season.

Costco and manufacturer LNK International, Inc. are recalling some boxes of Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion caplets.

Crown Books, a book retailer known for its deep discounts, came onto the scene in Maryland in 1977, and subsequently began to expand all over the country. Over the years, due to the death of its parent company and family drama between the owners, Crown Books went through a series of bankruptcies and was completely out of business by 2001.
