The Dallas Mavericks have been almost universally panned for deciding to trade Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a future first-round pick. Even if some people could understand the thought of wanting to trade Doncic, very few people agreed that the package the Mavs got in return was anywhere near enough.

A recent trade proposal has suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers should target a Dallas Maverick, reuniting him with Luka Doncic.

Los Angeles head coach JJ Redick started Jaxson Hayes at center after GM Rob Pelinka traded Anthony Davis to the Mavericks for Luka Doncic in February. Hayes was benched in Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who beat the Lakers in the first round of this year's playoffs in five games.
