A week and a day after Triston Casas suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee, another Red Sox first baseman has landed on the injured list.

Rafael Devers is displeased with the Boston Red Sox asking him to play first base with Triston Casas expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee.

Casas was removed in the bottom of the second inning after suffering what manager Alex Cora described as a “significant (left) knee injury.”
