TORONTO -- Auston Matthews scored for the fourth straight game and had an assist for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 5-3 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Arena on Monday. The goal was also Matthews’ seventh in the past seven games.

The Maple Leafs continue to take the Tampa Bay Lightning by storm. For the third time in three meetings in 2024-25 between the Atlantic Division foes, Toronto prevailed, beating Tampa Bay 5-3 at Scotiabank Arena on Monday night.

Pacioretty will be absent due to an upper-body injury that he sustained after taking a shot to the side of the head in Saturday's 7-3 comeback win against the Montreal Canadiens. He was however able to finish the game, logging 10:13 in ice time.
