A tornado touched down in northeast Burnet County, Texas, Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Burnet and Lee counties until 9 p.m.

The watch includes Boerne, Kerrville, Fredericksburg and Hondo. Very large hail and damaging wind gusts are possible.
