The U.S. Supreme Court has acted in a series of cases involving challenges to executive orders signed by President Donald Trump and actions by his administration since he returned to office in January.

The appeal asks the justices to lift a court order blocking Trump’s plan to curtail or end so-called temporary protected status for Venezuelan nationals.

A federal judge had blocked the administration’s plan to remove the temporary protected status of more than 300,000 immigrants.
