Former Police Chief John Scott Cronk, who spent 36 years with the Emporia Police Department (EPD), has died at the age of 66.

John Scott Cronk, of Emporia, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. He was 66.
