According to the FAA report, “At 1559, Flight 90 was cleared to "taxi into position and hold" and to "be ready for an immediate takeoff." At 1559:28, Flight 90 was cleared for takeoff and told not to delay due to landing traffic which was 2 ½ miles out on approach.”
