Bronny James says that his goal has been to prove that he belongs in the NBA regardless of his connection with his father, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. "That I belong. That's all I've been trying to prove," James told Fox Sports' Melissa Rohlin.

Following the Lakers’ playoff exit at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, James declared he would get those reps next at the Las Vegas Summer League. While it’s not uncommon for second-year players to participate in the annual event, it also is not a guarantee either.
