A Gibsonton man was killed in a Hillsborough County crash on Saturday after entering the path of another vehicle, authorities said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A crash between two cars Saturday afternoon in Hillsborough County left a 61-year-old man from Gibsonton dead and four other people hospitalized.

TFR unveiled its two new Heavy Rescue vehicles and a new emergency response unit, Rescue 6, Friday. The two Heavy Rescue vehicles will respond to high-risk emergency special operations.

The heavy rescue units are designed for high-risk emergencies like structural collapses and confined space rescues.

The City of Tampa is making good on its promise to give firefighters upgraded equipment to speed up their response times to emergencies.
