George Kittle is set up to finish his career with the San Francisco 49ers after inking a four-year extension with the organization that takes him through his age-36 season. However, days before he came to terms on that extension, one club tried to pry the star tight end out of the Bay Area.

Before George Kittle signed a new deal with the San Francisco 49ers, at least one team tried to trade for the All-Pro tight end. On the latest episode of the Scoop City podcast, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported the Niners were offered a second-round draft pick from an unnamed team for the 31-year-old that was turned down.

One anonymous NFL team was apparently willing to give up a second-round pick for the superstar San Francisco tight end.
