Pete DeBoer has never lost a Game 7 as an NHL coach. Jared Bednar has never won one.They will be on opposite benches when the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche play what seems like the only fitting end for their first-round series in this year's NHL playoffs — a Game 7 on Saturday night.

While the box score reads that the game’s deciding goal was scored by Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon, it actually pinballed off a few members of the Stars before finding its way past Jake Oettinger and into the Dallas net. The own-goal gave the Avalanche a 5-4 lead in a game they’d win 7-4 to force a winner-take-all Game 7 in Dallas on Saturday.

Game 6 was full of scoring chances, wild momentum swings and some of the fastest, most frenetic action of these, or any, playoffs.
