Volvo is recalling some C40, S60, S90, V60, V90, XC40, XC60, and XC90 sedans, wagons, and SUVs because their backup cameras may stop working.

An issue with the rearview cameras in several makes and models of Volvo vehicles has caused a massive recall involving 413,151 cars. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recalled vehicles may not display a rear camera image when put into reverse, increasing the risk of a crash.

According to new documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Swedish luxury brand Volvo is recalling more than 413,000 vehicles due to a software defect that renders several models across its lineup noncompliant with a federal safety standard.
