HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston community is mourning the loss of a pregnant woman who was reportedly killed at the hands of her husband last week. Christa Bauer Gilley, 38, was found dead last week after her husband, Lee Mongerson Gilley called police saying he found his wife unresponsive.

Lee Mongerson Gilley, 38, is accused of killing his wife and then calling 911 to report her death as a suicide.

A Houston man has been charged with capital murder in the death of his wife. Lee Mongerson Gilley, 38, called 911 on Monday, claiming his wife, Christa Gilley, who was about eight weeks pregnant, had committed suicide by drug overdose.

Court documents revealed the woman was pregnant at the time she was found unresponsive in her Greater Heights area home, and now officials have charged her 38-year-old husband.
