The Amazon Prime Video app has many movies, both new and old. Renting them is a great way to watch something specific for less and enjoy one-time viewings. Buying them means you own them and can watch them later. Usually, you can do either from your personal profile on your mobile phones and tablets.

India, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand and the Netherlands will see advertising added to Prime Video in 2025, joining the U.S., Canada, France, U.K. and Mexico.

Amazon Prime Video will start showing advertising in five new markets starting in 2025. Ads will begin playing for users in India, Japan, Brazil, the Netherlands and New Zealand. The news of the launch in new areas was announced at the Amazon UnBoxed conference.

Prime Video subscribers will soon have the option to bundle Apple TV+ with their membership. Users can add the Apple TV+ suite of shows to their streaming library for an additional $9.99 a month, which is the same price consumers would pay if purchasing Apple TV+ by itself.

The service's ad-supported viewing experience is already available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Spain

Amazon plans to expand advertising on Prime Video to Brazil, India, Japan, the Netherlands and New Zealand in 2025.
