BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — A judge in Argentina on Monday confirmed that five people have been charged in connection with the death of former One Direction member Liam Payne, several local media outlets reported.

In a Nov. 7 press release from Argentina's National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, it was revealed that three suspects had been arrested and charged with abandonment of a person followed by death as well as supply and facilitation of narcotics. At the time the suspects had not been named by authorities.

The results matched those previously released by Argentinian authorities in their investigation into the singer's Oct. 16 death following a fall from a hotel balcony.
