Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Monday that the Mumbai entry toll for light vehicles will be waived at all five toll plazas at the city’s entrances, effective from 12 am on Tuesday.

The Maharashtra Cabinet on Monday decided to waive road toll tax for light vehicles at all five entry points to Mumbai. The waiver will take effect from 12 am on Tuesday. The announcement by the ruling Mahayuti alliance came ahead of the state elections expected to be held next month.

Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly polls, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that light motor vehicles need not pay toll at all five toll booths in Mumbai.
