Kohberger, 30, is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the killing of four University of Idaho students at an off-campus home in Moscow in November 2022. He is also charged with one count of felony burglary. The victims were Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle, both 20, and Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, both 21.

A judge says Bryan Kohberger’s immediate family members may attend his upcoming quadruple-murder trial in the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students, even if they might be called to testify.

Judge Steven Hippler issued several new rulings on Wednesday for the Idaho vs. Bryan Kohberger case. Judge Hippler will allow the state to examine Kohberger's personality, but has barred the state from using personality tests during the trial to avoid violating Kohberger's constitutional rights.
