An elderly couple were killed Wednesday morning in an early morning house fire in southeastern Denver’s Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood, fire officials said.

DENVER — Two people are dead after an early morning house fire in Denver. The fire was reported early Wednesday in the area of South Niagara Street and East Dakota Avenue, according to the Denver Fire Department. That's near South Monaco Street Parkway and East Alameda Avenue.
