Franco Colapinto has joined Formula 1 team Alpine as a reserve driver for this year after racing for Williams in 2024.The 21-year-old Argentinian signed a multi-year deal with Alpine, which earlier promoted Jack Doohan to team with Pierre Gasly for the upcoming season.

Alpine have acquired Franco Colapinto to become the team's reserve driver for 2025 adding further pressure on the under-fire Jack Doohan.

Formula 1 World Driver's Championship and the World Constructor's Championship will commence with a double header in April. Before the season kicks off, the team is making changes in their lineups to ensure a more competitive season than last year.
