LAFC and América will face off on May 31 at LAFC's BMO Stadium for the right to replace Club León at the Club World Cup in the United States next month, a source confirmed to ESPN.

So, with FIFA’s own decision upheld about their own tournament, León are now officially out, and will be replaced by either Los Angeles FC (LAFC) or another Liga MX side, Club América. These two are set to play a one-off playoff (play-in?) at the end of the month, at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on May 31.

With the Liga MX side violating multi-ownership rules, the Black & Gold will host Club América on May 31 to be a replacement in the 32-team tournament.
