China’s top diplomat warned countries against caving in to US tariff threats, as the Trump administration hints at the possible use of new trade tools to pressure Beijing.

Beijing has repeatedly urged its allies to support multilateralism and warned other governments against striking deals with the US.

As the trade war between the two economic giants continues, Beijing declared that “bowing to a bully is like drinking poison to quench a thirst.”
