In his first visit to the Union Territory since India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar.

Blasts were heard in Srinagar and Jammu and projectiles and flashes were seen in the night sky over Jammu, similar to the events of the previous evening, according to authorities, residents and Reuters witnesses.

Pakistani officials have said Saturday’s ceasefire with India reestablished deterrence. But New Delhi insists the rules of engagement have irrevocably changed.
