Doorbell camera footage released by authorities in Michigan showed two men wearing fluorescent vests and displaying fake utility company credentials.

The men, who said they were looking for a gas leak, killed the man in his basement in suburban Detroit and bound his wife with duct tape before taking her watch and phone, prosecutors said.

Investigators are seeking Hernandez’s extradition to Michigan. The sheriff’s office is searching for the second suspect, whose identity is unknown.

One of them, Carlos Jose Hernandez, was arrested Saturday, but the other suspect remained on the loose, police said.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said its fugitive apprehension team located the second suspect as he was traveling Monday afternoon in Plymouth Township — a western suburb of Detroit — and made a traffic stop.
