Walmart recalled Braga Fresh Marketside broccoli and the FDA just categorized it as Class 1, meaning the produce is potentially “deadly.” Here’s why.

Broccoli packages sold at Walmart stores in 20 states have received an elevated recall status over a Listeria contamination that has potentially fatal consequences.

The recall affects 12-ounce bags of the product, which were sold in 20 states and pose serious health risks if consumed.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would like you to check if you have any broccoli in your freezer, as it may be part of a serious recall. On December 31, the (FDA) published a recall notice for Braga Fresh's washed and ready-to-eat 12-ounce Marketside Broccoli Florets.
