Forecasters issue advisory as Augusta area, state officials get ready for winter storm
The advisory includes Columbia, Richmond, McDuffie and Aiken counties. It is in effect from 10 a.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday. Mixed precipitation is expected with snow and/or sleet accumulations up to a half inch and ice accumulations around two-tenths of an inch.
