Money Digest reported back in February 2024 that Best Buy had plans to close 24 stores during the year with another 10 to 15 stores shuttering in 2025. Big Lots was acquired out of bankruptcy court at the last minute to start the year. Several locations have already closed, but there is a chance others may survive after all.
