Times Square Arts installed a new statue of a 12-foot-tall Black woman in casual clothing, juxtaposing it against the permanent monuments of a chaplain and playwright.

A 12-foot-tall sculpture of a lady, perceived to be an African American woman has been erected at the center of Times Square. The sculpture titled Grounded in the Stars, was recently sighted by residents at Broadway and 46th Street.
