The Golden State Warriors fell to their 20th loss of the season on Monday, Jan 13. Steve Kerr's team fell to the Toronto Raptors. The loss ensured the franchise remained outside of the playoff and play-in seedings in the Western Conference, with the Warriors sitting 12th.

Any trades the Warriors make at the deadline are going to be around the margins, likely leaving an inconsistent Warriors team fighting for one of the bottom few playoff spots in the West. That said, the organization wants to win again with Stephen Curry and will be looking to take some home run swings this summer.

"LaVine has thrived when he has called his own number this season, shooting 49.5% and notching 116 points per 100 possessions on iso plays, which put him in the league's 91st percentile," the ESPN report highlighted while explaining the rationale for why the Warriors should make the trade.
