Considered a three-star recruit and the No. 22 prospect in the state of Michigan’s 2024 class by 247Sports, Hudkins received scholarship offers from 12 Division-I teams during his high school career, and while Iowa was not one of those dozen schools, Ferentz and his staff liked the Grand Rapids native enough to extend an offer this time around.

During the winter transfer portal, Purdue added cornerbacks Tony Grimes (North Carolina and UNLV), Ryan Turner (Boston College) and Chad Brown (Nevada) and safeties Richard Toney Jr. (TCU) and Crew Wakley (BYU).

Purdue added two more players via the transfer portal on Tuesday, landing defensive backs An'Darius Coffey (Memphis) and Traveon Wright (Mississippi State).
