The New York Giants are exercising extreme patience with 21-year-old QB Jaxson Dart — and approach that probably would've benefitted Daniel Jones six years ago.

Of course, the Giants have also been heavily linked to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in their offseason quest to address their need for a franchise quarterback. Former Giants head coach and current Colorado offensive coordinator thinks Sanders evokes qualities of a recent New York quarterback.

For the fourth time since the NFL-AFL merger, the New York Giants have drafted a quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft. Jaxson Dart joins Phil Simms (1979), Phillip Rivers (2004) and Daniel Jones (2019) as the only first-round signal-callers to be drafted by Big Blue.
