A judge will hear a motion Friday requesting that the Los Angeles County district attorney and his entire office be removed from the highly publicized case involving the possible resentencing of convicted murderers Erik and Lyle Menendez.

Attorneys for Erik and Lyle Menendez withdrew their motion asking that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office be removed from the case, saying they want to expeditiously move forward with their bid to have the pair re-sentenced.
