Aerobatic pilot Rob Holland crashed between runway & taxiway during landing at Langley: NTSB
HAMPTON, Va. — As famed aerobatic pilot Rob Holland was approaching Langley Air Force Base Thursday, his MXS-RH stunt plane crashed between the taxiway and runway, National Transportation Safety Board representative Dan Boggs said Friday at a news conference to discuss the crash.

“An MX Aircraft MXS crashed while the pilot was attempting to land at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia around 11:50 a.m. local time on Thursday, April 24. Only the pilot was on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will lead the investigation and provide any updates,” the statement said.
The NTSB told USA TODAY current evidence indicates "only one person was onboard" the plane at the time of the crash.
