Temperatures in Central Florida will remain cold and below average on Friday, with highs only reaching the low to mid 50s, but next week, high pressure will bring a warm, dry, and sunny stretch, pushing temperatures into the 70s.

You’ll need the layers for a bit longer as the frigid air lingers this week before the sunshine and 70s return!

After a rainy weekend, cold temperatures are sweeping across Central Florida — with the frigid air here to stay. Overnight, temperatures dropped into the 30s and 40s, setting us up for a chilly Monday morning. Freeze warnings were in effect for multiple counties as wind chills dropped as low as in the 20s. Those warnings expired at 10 a.m.

The winter storm continues to bring cold rain, and the winds will continue to push cold air into Central Florida.
