LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Sunny days have arrived in Southern California, and we're looking toward the weekend, where areas in the valleys and Inland Empire could experience record-breaking heat.

The rainy pattern continues Monday and perhaps into Tuesday. Soaking rain totals are needed. Weather models show Portland and Salem seeing up to 1/2" of total rainfall through the period.
