Beyoncé soared across SoFi Stadium in a giant neon horseshoe, and then again in a red convertible Cadillac. She mounted and rode a gleaming, mechanical golden bull — all the while belting tunes from Cowboy Carter and her decades-spanning discography.

Beyoncé kicked off the "Cowboy Carter" tour on Monday. The lengthy set list included a variety of hits, from "Crazy in Love" to "Texas Hold 'Em."

The first of five shows at SoFi Stadium was a breathtaking blend of history and hope wrapped inside a visual and musical spectacle.
