A small nodule found in 82-year-old former US President Joe Biden’s prostate during a routine exam has raised public curiosity.

After screening tests including a digital exam and blood work, a person with a nodule or enlarged prostate may be referred to a urologist for a biopsy, which takes small tissue samples to look for cancer.

The exact cause of the prostate nodule has not been shared with the public, and it may not be wise to jump to conclusions, considering it can either be cancerous or benign -- caused simply by an enlarged gland.
