Two historic South Bend churches are officially merging. St. Adalbert and St. Casimir will soon operate under one parish.

A teacher resigned from SBCSC in 2023 over concerns of students getting credits they didn't earn. District officials say the claims were investigated.

The South Bend area features some of the top teams in the state, including No. 1 (4A) Penn and No. 2 (3A) Saint Joseph. The defending Class 3A state champions also reside in the area in New Prairie.
