Last offseason, the Seattle Seahawks' biggest free agency addition came in the form of veteran safety Rayshawn Jenkins, whom they signed to a two-year deal wort
Seattle released Jenkins on Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. In his lone season with Seattle, Jenkins lost his starting spot to Coby Bryant midway through the campaign and averaged fewer than 22 defensive snaps over the last seven games.
Roster transactions were expected from the Seahawks, given their salary situation. The Seahawks now have roughly $16.4 million of cap space to use in the 2025 offseason.
The team has announced it is releasing Dre’Mont Jones, George Fant, Roy Robertson-Harris and Rayshawn Jenkins. All four were acquired within the last two years, with Fant, Robertson-Harris and Jenkins added in 2024.
