The Raiders' search for a new head coach reached its conclusion Friday as former Seahawks and USC head coach Pete Carroll was hired by Las Vegas. Carroll must now execute the plan on which he sold Raiders leadership to rise from the depths of the AFC West to its peak.
A number of potential candidates for the coordinator roles with the Raiders have ties to Carroll from his 14 years with the Seahawks.
Carroll, 73, returns to coaching just over a year since he parted with the Seahawks. He replaces the fired Antonio Pierce with the Raiders. Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, became a part-owner of the Raiders in October and played a central role in the team’s coaching search.
