Much of New Mexico is bracing for two Arctic blasts set to hit the state this weekend through Monday.
A new law went into effect Jan. 1 to mitigate ambulance-related costs. Now, a health care company plans to bring more ambulances to the state.
Fairfax, Okla.-based Ardent Health has acquired several clinics in Oklahoma and New Mexico to expand ambulatory services in both states, according to a Jan. 11 report from The Oklahoman. Ardent Health operates in eight hospitals and 57 sites of care in Oklahoma, and has acquired 12 additional clinics in the state.
Forecast maps from the National Weather Service (NWS) Weather Prediction Center indicate that as of 6 p.m. Wednesday, most of New Mexico, as well as parts of Texas, Colorado and Arizona, had some probability of more than an inch of snowfall accumulating.
