LOS ANGELES — The Celtics will be without three rotation players on Wednesday night as they face off against a shorthanded Clippers squad at the Intuit Dome.

The Boston Celtics narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime Wednesday night, grabbing a 117-113 road victory.

Given that schedule, the Celtics also chose a cautious approach with several of their veterans. Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Al Horford (big toe) all were ruled out against the Clippers after being listed as questionable.

The hero in the Celtics' OT win over the Clippers wasn't Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, but an unheralded star off the bench.

The Celtics opened the five-minute extra session with 3-pointers by White, Tatum and Brown that stretched the lead to 112-105. The Clippers twice cut the deficit to two points, the last time on Coffey's three-point play with 30 seconds to go.

The Clippers sent the game into overtime by scoring the last six points of regulation in the final minute. A basket by Mann and a dunk from Coffey preceded a steal and length-of-the court drive and layup from Jones that tied the score 103-103 with 4.2 seconds remaining.
